"Hotel Dana Beach in Hurghada provided a mixed experience during our stay. There were several positive aspects worth mentioning. First and foremost, the food served at the hotel was absolutely phenomenal. The variety, quality, and taste of the dishes exceeded our expectations. Additionally, the beach at the hotel was truly beautiful, offering stunning views and a relaxing atmosphere.
The service provided by the bartenders was outstanding. They were attentive, friendly, and skilled in preparing delicious cocktails. We thoroughly enjoyed indulging in their creations. Furthermore, the rooms were adequately spacious and modernly furnished, providing a comfortable and pleasant stay. The cleaning staff also deserves recognition for their excellent work, as they were diligent and respectful throughout our visit.
However, there were certain aspects of our experience that were disappointing, particularly in regard to the entertainment provided by the animation team. It was noticeable that only one Czech animator, Vendy (and MO, Domi - thanks to these 3 persons), was consistently present, while the rest of the team seemed disengaged and uninterested in their role. The guest contact beyond the sales of raffle tickets was minimal, as if the other animators were not actively involved in engaging guests.
Moreover, the activities offered by the animation team lacked proper organization and promotion. Games such as darts and petanque had consistently low participation, with only 3 to 5 people involved on average. The lack of enthusiasm and effort in informing guests about the activities was quite evident. Even when activities did take place, the animators seemed disconnected and uninvolved.
One particular issue was the lack of clarity regarding the team leader's identity. We were unaware of who this person was, except for a girl who appeared solely to introduce the evening shows. This lack of presence and leadership was concerning.
Furthermore, we found it rather inappropriate and perplexing when the Russian national anthem was played during the music quiz. In this situation of year 2023 full hotel of czech and germany people!
In summary, while the Dana Beach hotel had its highlights, including phenomenal food, a beautiful beach, and excellent service from the bartenders, the animation aspect fell short of expectations. The lack of engagement from the majority of the animation team, limited guest contact, poorly organized activities, and questionable choices during the entertainment program were significant drawbacks."
